Specifications

The headliner unit includes two ad units, one on the Twitch desktop homepage and the other on the Twitch mobile app default landing page. Spec details for both units are below.

Desktop headliner ad unit specs

The desktop headliner unit is comprised of three components:

  • Left graphic: designated area for branding
  • Right graphic: designated area for branding
  • Selected hex color code as main background color: mandatory gradient color fade that is required to be built into the left and right graphics.

The fade color will be the selected hex color to ensure seamless unity as it grows and scales to varied browser widths, as well as varied screen display resolutions.

Left unit

  • Dimensions: 450x350
  • Max file size: 150kb
  • Animation: none
  • Format: JPG/PNG along with layered template PSD

Right unit

  • Dimensions: 450x350
  • Max file size: 150kb
  • Animation: none
  • Format: JPG/PNG along with layered template PSD

Hex color code

This will be the central background color. It can be included in a file name, or sampled from units/designed template.

Mobile headliner ad unit specs

The mobile headliner unit is one static asset.

  • Dimensions: 600 x 337

  • Ad Disclosure* at the top right is 43 x 20px

  • Content safe zone: Recommended for Text and Call-to-action button (CTA) to be designed within the text safe zone to maximize user viewability

General Guidelines

  • Minimum font size: 12pt Arial for copy and 9pt Arial for claims and disclaimers
  • Claims/disclaimer: No more than 20% of the total height of the ad
  • Borders: Not encouraged,  but if used, make sure they match the same HEX color as the background
  • Safe zones: 
    • Desktop: All elements need to placed within a 150px safe zone to avoid overlapping with the UI.
    • Mobile: Recommended for text and call-to-action (CTA) to be designed within 580x317 dimension size of the mobile ad creative

 

Third-party tracking

  • Only 1 impression 1x1 and click tracker site-served to track both units is allowed.
  • No DMP or 3rd party Javascript tracking.

 

Lead Times

Twitch Advertising standard lead times (SLAs) account for the number of business days it will take to launch a campaign and to provide screenshots. The below SLAs assume that the provided IO is fully signed, creatives are approved and ready to be implemented into our systems.

  • Launch and set the campaign live: 3 business days
  • Screenshots of live campaign: 3 business days
